If you give a writer 48 hours in a day instead of 24, chances are they’ll still end up with the same amount of writing that they would have done in a normal day. And nobody shames you for that. To add some structure into your novel-writing journey, it is therefore important to chart out a path, a concrete path where you won’t be lost for words or stuck at a point, wondering what to do next. This concrete path can be called a roadmap, and it’s very useful for a novice writer or even experienced writers who want to keep everything ready and not waste time in thinking over what to do next. Every roadmap is different and every writing process differs, but it helps if you have a solid reference from which you can build into your own writing schedule.
