Things Google would change if they hired a proofreading service
We are all slaves to the immense and infinite knowledge that the internet possesses. We go on there to find answers to all the questions we have, from the important career questions to absurd questions about cats having hands for legs. Out of all search engines that have been frequented, Google is easily the most popular one. Since its inception in 1998, it has steadily grown to become the go-to site for literally every question that we have.
But there are some things that annoy us and we think would improve only if Google hired a proofreader. For starters, take the annoying amplification of every disease. If we had a dollar for every time we’ve been given actual heart attacks by Google when it predicted that we had some ridiculous disease instead of a measly headache, we’d be living on a Mount Rushmore size pile of dollars.
If Google were to hire a proofreading service, maybe the first thing that it would change is just assuming what people want to say. That is one thing that proofreading services don’t recommend, assumptions that may not be true and could hamper your entire document. It is so frustrating to type and re-type constantly what you want to say just because Google mansplains everything. For some people, especially procrastinators like myself, it leads to an endless vortex of mindless searching…
