Keywords are words and phrases that readers can associate with your book. If, for example, you are writing a slice-of-life YA novel, keywords you can add are “coming of age” and“teen”. This way, when a reader types in a theme, setting, or genre-specific term into the search bar, they are likely to discover your book.
Keywords may include the book’s name, the author’s name, a brief 1–2 sentence description, the genre, themes, and the ISBN.
